At Waco Boom Company Ltd., we uniquely design, manufacture and test fiberglass booms for your aerial lift device. Our engineering department performs a computer-aided stress analysis to confirm required safety factors prior to manufacturing.
Our manufacturing process employs a filament winding technique using continuous strands of fiberglass. This computer controlled process, coupled with our use of epoxy resins, results in the strongest boom with the lightest overall weight.
Our booms are finished with an application of acrylic-polyurethaneon the inside and an application of gel coat on the outside. This process provides a tough, flexible, abrasion resistant finish with excellent ultra-violet and moisture protection.
Finally, Quality Assurance Testing is one of the many important services provided by Waco Boom Company Ltd.. On-site testing includes:
* full scale destructive cantilever bending
* AC and DC dielectric certification
* glass yield
* viscosity of resins
* Barcol hardness
* density of the resin-glass composite
* cycling load test
* resin to glass ratio
